Privacy Policy

Save Your Time is an iPhone app that blocks the apps and websites you choose. This policy describes what data the app and this website handle, why, and what control you have. The short version: we never see which apps or websites you block, what you name your rules, or how you use your phone.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Better Things, a business registered in Finland. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@save-your-time.app.

What stays on your phone

The apps, categories and websites you pick, your rule names and schedules, the message on your block screen, your history, unblock records and block counts are stored only on your iPhone. None of it is sent to us or to any service below, whether in analytics, in error reports, or anywhere else. iOS gives the app sealed references to the apps you pick, so the app itself can’t read their names. The on-device history is kept for 90 days and then removed.

What leaves your phone

• An anonymous install ID — created on first launch, with no name, email or account behind it. It lets the services below refer to the same install.
• Trial and subscription status — when your free week started, and whether a subscription is active.
• Purchase records — the App Store receipt for a subscription. Payment details are handled by Apple and never reach us.
• Crash and error reports — technical details of what went wrong, without screenshots and without anything you typed.
• Anonymous product events — a fixed list of events such as “a rule was saved” or “an unblock was granted”, with details like the rule type or the number of minutes, never names or apps. You can turn this off in Settings under Share anonymous usage data.
• Feedback you choose to send — your message, plus the app and iOS versions.

There are no advertising identifiers, no ads, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no sale of data.

Service providers

• Convex — our backend: the anonymous install ID, trial and subscription status, and feedback.
• RevenueCat — subscription management: the anonymous install ID and App Store purchase records.
• Apple — the App Store, payments, and the Screen Time system that does the blocking.
• Sentry — crash and error reports, linked to the anonymous install ID.
• PostHog — anonymous product events, hosted in the European Union.
• Linear — where feedback you send is filed for us to read.
• Vercel — hosting for this website.

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, transfers rely on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

This website

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no forms. Our host keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and operations.

Deleting your data

Delete my data in the app’s Settings removes your install’s records from our backend, asks our analytics provider to delete its records, and gives the app a new anonymous ID. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your phone. A subscription is managed by Apple: cancel it in your Apple account settings; you can restore it later.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can access, correct and delete your data, object to or restrict certain processing, and complain to a supervisory authority (in Finland, the Data Protection Ombudsman). Because the app has no accounts, the quickest way to delete data is in the app; for anything else, email hello@save-your-time.app.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the effective date above changes and the app points out the new version.
